PFU Systems, Inc. was founded in 1997 as Cell Computing, Inc., and is a wholly -owned subsidiary of PFU Limited of Japan, joint venture between Matsushita (Panasonic) and Fujitsu Limited, two of the world's largest electronics manufacturers and IT service providers. To more clearly identify PFU Systems with our parent company and its heritage, and to create a consistent worldwide brand, Cell Computing, Inc. was renamed to PFU Systems, Inc. on April 1, 2002. The company's headquarters is located in Santa Clara, California - in the heart of the Silicon Valley, and it maintains engineering, manufacturing and sales facilities located in Minnetonka, Minnesota and Cary, North Carolina. PFU Systems is a member of the PICMG (PCI Industrial Computers Manufacturing Group) Trade Association and is a Founding Member of SBTA (Server-Blade Trade Association).
