(TE Data) is an IP-based, data communication solutions provider established in November 2001 by Telecom Egypt (incumbent telecom operator) to act as its Internet arm; the company is pursuant to Investment Law 8/1997 and Law 95/1992 of the Government of Egypt (GoE). TE Data is one of the few companies to be awarded a “Class A” license from the GoE’s independently operated National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
