Company Description:
Spectrum Signal Processing Inc., established in 1987, designs and manufactures industry-leading high performance signal processing engines and subsystems that acquire, process and transmit signals for wireless signal processing and packet-voice applications.
Spectrum's flexComm products meet the need for instant reconfigurability - they consist of modular software defined radio subsystems, processing engines and digital I/O that allow for increased channel capacity, data throughput, extended range and new feature sets. flexComm products are standards-based, and field upgradeable, ensuring investment preservation and migration. Designed with flexibility, modularity, and scalability in mind, flexComm solutions can be easily adapted to changing and evolving requirements. Applications include signals intelligence, military communications, wireless infrastructure, radar and sonar, and other signal processing applications. Also offered are flexComm services including application development engineering and system integration.
Spectrum's aXs products, integrated into gateways, offer two to three times the voice channel density of other products currently announced. The optimized aXs architecture, field-deployed software tools, and access to Broadcom Corporations CALISTO™ technology allows customers who are deploying gateways for trunking, broadband access, or 2.5G and 3G wireless infrastructure, to process higher channels of voice at lower cost.
