Last updated: April 17, 2005

Company:

StarCore LLC

Description:

The StarCore™ SC1000-family DSP cores and subsystems are licensable intellectual property (IP) that provides system-on-chip (SoC) designers with the right combination of DSP performance and related subsystem capabilities. You can embed an SC1000-family subsystem on a single silicon device to provide complete SoC functionality.

SC1000-Family Cores
The SC1000-family DSP cores provide scalable performance at low cost across a wide range of DSP applications—from infrastructure to terminal—enabling you to design the right product for your target market.
The SC1000 family currently consists of the SC1200 and SC1400, which are high-performance, small-footprint DSP cores designed to meet the low power-consumption requirements of battery powered and embedded applications. Both SC1000-family cores feature StarCore LLC’s patented variable-length execution set (VLES) architecture, which combines solid DSP performance with the code compactness ofthe best microcontrollers. This makes the SC1000-family cores suitable for control-intensive applications, which typically don’t run efficiently on other DSPs.
