Emerson's Katana® KAT6200 is an AdvancedTCA server node based upon dual high performance Intel Xeon LV5100 series (Woodcrest) processors, enterprise/carrier grade Linux® support, and flexible AdvancedMC expansion. The KAT6200 server blade is ready for the most demanding telecom applications with features such as persistent memory for event logging and redundant firmware for protection against unsuccessful firmware field upgrades.
KAT6200´s AdvancedMC (AMC.0 R2.0) mid-size expansion slot gives telecom OEMs access to a wealth of third party AdvancedMCs for I/O, storage, and co-processing. This off-the-shelf expansion capability makes it easy to configure the KAT6200 for a wide variety of control and packet processing applications including application server and database intensive applications in wireless infrastructure.
