The hi-tech developers conference, the Embedded Masterclass , is on track to be bigger and better. This year the event will take place in Cambridge and Bristol on the 7th and 12th May and has more vendors exhibiting and offers more technical workshops than previous years.

Offering an agenda of high quality technical presentations, four technical workshops and an exhibition of leading edge development tools and technologies from many of the world´s leading vendors, the Embedded Masterclass has become an important event in the diary of many embedded systems engineers.

“This is our 9th Embedded Masterclass,” said Richard Blackburn, the organiser. “The objective has always been to provide a non-sales forum where engineers can learn about what is new and have the opportunity to meet with engineers from vendor companies to discuss their current challenges and future projects.”

This year´s presentation will explore such topics as `graphical user interface´ development, the use of 3D CAD for successful enclosures development, the management of data within embedded systems and the application of Zigbee low power RF. The workshops will cover such topics as using Linux in embedded systems, software timing analysis, GUI development and an introduction to MISRA C++.

“We work very hard to ensure that engineers will find everything about the day useful,” said Richard. “We understand the pressure under which many development engineers have to work, so we want to make sure that the day they spend at the Embedded Masterclass is informative and a productive use of their time.”

The event is free to engineers and managers in the technology sector although there is a charge of £95+vat for each of the workshops. Early registration is recommended, as places at the event are limited, last year the workshops were over-subscribed.

“We are very pleased to be exhibiting and presenting at this year´s event,” said Stuart Parker of SDC Systems Ltd, a leading UK distributor of embedded systems tools and software. “It´s a great forum for us to present our products and explain the benefits that they offer. The event attracts a good quality of delegate and its focus on the technical side of the industry creates an ideal atmosphere for vendors and engineers to share information and discuss current issues and challenges. It´s a well organised and very enjoyable industry event.”
