Summary: SDC Systems have announced that they have several new embedded systems technologies that they will be exhibiting for the first time at this year's Embedded Masterclass, to take place in Cambridge and Bristol on the 7th and 12th May. http://www.embedded-masterclass.com
Full Text: The Embedded Masterclass is a combination of technical workshops, presentations of leading edge technology and an exhibition of many of the world´s leading vendors of tools and technologies for the development of `embedded systems´. Such embedded systems include mobile phones, SatNavs, medical equipment, automotive control systems, air traffic control systems and even washing machines and microwaves. SDC Systems is a leading European distributor of tools and technologies for the development of embedded systems.
Amongst SDC's new products will be their Mocana range of network security products that have been developed especially for intelligent devices that connect to computer networks and the global internet. The Mocana infrastructure software ensures that wired and wireless devices, networks and services perform and scale with the utmost security. Mocana users include Dell, Cisco, Avaya, Nortel Networks, Harris, Honeywell, Symbol, Net.com and Radvision. SDC will also be exhibiting AdaMagic a software tool that converts legacy Ada code to C/C++. AdaMagic's automatic code conversion process eliminates the need for a costly and tedious code re-write, which provides development companies with extensive cost and time savings.
"We have a range of new and exciting technologies to exhibit this year," said Stuart Parker, Managing Director of SDC Systems. "We will also be demonstrating our graphical interface development tools and we will have our engineers at hand to discuss the current challenges that embedded engineers are facing. It's shaping up to be an exciting event - we are looking forward to it."
This year's event includes presentations and workshops that explore the latest technologies that help engineers develop the 'look and feel' of new products. These include an introduction to SolidWorks 3D CAD technology and a half-day 'GUI' (graphical user interface) development workshop. Other workshops include an "Introduction to Linux in Embedded Systems", "Software Timing Analysis" and "An Introduction to Misra C++".
"This is a great forum for us," said Stuart Parker. "The focus is on the technical, rather than sales and marketing. It's a much better environment for serious engineers who want to find out what's new. It's always an enjoyable and rewarding event."
Over the past 9 years, the Embedded Masterclass has established itself as an important UK event for engineers looking to explore the most recent tools and technologies for the development of embedded systems. Over the years it has grown from a small seminar into a much larger event that now includes a tabletop exhibition, an agenda of technical presentations and a collection of high quality workshops. It attracts electronics engineers, embedded computing engineers, designers and project managers, giving them the chance to meet with engineers from many of the world's leading vendors of development tools and realtime and embedded technologies. The Embedded Masterclass is recognised for the quality of its presentations, which are technical in content and presented by experienced and knowledgeable engineers.
The Embedded Masterclass is 'free' to engineers and technology managers, but prior registration via their website, www.embedded-masterclass.com is required as space is limited. Teas, Coffee and lunch are provided. The various 1/2 day workshops carry a charge of £95.00 + vat. There remain a few exhibition spaces available at the Cambridge venue for any companies that wish to exhibit. The Bristol exhibition space is now sold out.
