AAEON (TAIEX: 2463), a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, launches a new SubCompact Board which adopts Intel´s AtomTM N270 Processor. Key features of this exciting new product are high performance and low power at a competitive price. The GENE-9455 satisfies the growing demand for mobile products in the embedded market.

The GENE-9455 comes with the Intel® Atom N270 processor 1.6GHz with a front side bus of 533MHz. A 200-pin SODIMM socket can be populated with up to 2GB of DDR2 memory at 400 or 533 MHz. Two Intel® 82574L Ethernet controllers provide connection to multiple Gigabit networks enabling high bandwidth network communication. Storage needs are well met with one IDE, two SATA II and one Type II CompactFlash™ connectors for storage. The Mini PCI and AAEON´s ECX Proprietary Expansion interfaces allow for the addition of a wide range of peripheral devices including wireless communication or customized functions. The GENE-9455 also offers standard features such as four USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports, one 8-bit programmable digital I/O interface and an optional 4/5/8-wire touchscreen controller. The flexibility of the GENE-9455 offers users distinct advantages when it comes to space and budget limitations.
