Dedicated Systems Experts, a company specializing in the verification and validation of real-time and embedded systems, announces the availability of a detailed evaluation report assessing the real-time performance and robustness of Microsoft CE 6.0 R2.
The report covers in great detail topics like interrupt handling, thread and process handling, synchronization mechanisms, file systems and network stack performance. Aside from these performance tests, the report also includes various stress tests. These tests monitor CE 6.0 R2 for memory leaks, investigate how it deals with simultaneous and nested interrupts, ascertain the maximum interrupt frequency the system can sustain, and examine if increasing system loads impair real-time performance. 2 reports are available, one assessing the RTOS and another one evaluating a BSP on a X86 processor.
