RTXC Quadros™ RTOS supports IAR C/C++ development tool for ARM

Quadros Systems today released a port of the RTXC Quadros RTOX for the IAR Systems ARM Embedded Workbench and a plug-in for the IAR C-SPY JTAG debugger. Highly optimized, the combined solution offers a comprehensive, well-integrated solution that includes C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, ANSI libraries, text editor, project manager, C-SPY JTAG debugger along with the RTXC Quadros RTOS.

Developers of ARM7- and ARM9-based microcontrollers will be able to take advantage of the Quadros single- or multistack kernel, which can be used separately or in combination to support DSPs, microcontrollers or multiprocessing environments.

Houston, TX, Foster City, CA, January 12, 2004—Quadros Systems and IAR Systems announced today the release of a port of the RTXC Quadros real-time operating system for the IAR Systems ARM Embedded Workbench™ along with an RTOS-aware plug-in for the IAR C-SPY™ JTAG debugger.

The combination of IAR development tools and the RTXC Quadros real-time operating system gives embedded developers a comprehensive, integrated solution for projects using ARM7- and ARM9-based microcontrollers. The IAR development solution for ARM combines the IAR highly optimized C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, ANSI libraries, text editor, project manager and C-SPY JTAG debugger in one integrated development environment.

RTXC Quadros is a robust, multi-tasking, real-time operating system with a rich set of kernel services. This innovative RTOS is comprised of two major modules, a single stack kernel and multi-stack kernel, which can be used separately or in combination to support DSPs, microcontrollers and multiprocessing environments. Because all combinations share a common API, the RTXC Quadros RTOS offers significant benefits in scalability, flexibility and performance.
