- GAO's Caller ID software is a highly optimized implementation of the caller identification function. It is based on the Bell 202 or the V.23 standard. Applications of GAO's Caller ID software module include: analog or digital telephone, video conferencing, and answering machines. GAO Caller ID consists of two user-callable functions that perform the initialization and identification operations.
