Tokyo, Japan. May 13, 2008 - eSOL, a leading developer of realtime embedded software solutions, today announced that its leading realtime operating system, PrKERNELv4, coupled with the integrated development environment eBinder, now supports Faraday's ARMv4 ISA-based FA526 processor.

Faraday, a leading ASIC and silicon IP provider based in Taiwan, is one of a few ARM (TM) ISA licensees, and its 32-bit RISC processor FA526, verified by ARM, complies with its ARMv4 instruction architecture. Targeting the embedded networking, PC peripheral, and multimedia SoC designs, the FA526 could in the worst case deliver 300MHz performance in 0.13um processing time, with minimal area and power consumption. Furthermore, Faraday will provide customers with customized intellectual properties,...

Tokyo, Japan. May 27, 2008 - eSOL, a leading developer of realtime embedded software solutions, today announced that TEAC Corporation has selected its PrFILE (R) 2 FAT file system for their TASCAM-brand Solid State Recorders "SS-R1" and "SS-CDR1".

Both the SS-R1 and SS-CDR1 use the CompactFlash(R) memory card as storage media to record/playback audio data. PrFILE2 provides a reliable file system for writing and reading such audio data to/from the CompactFlash memory card.

SS-R1 and SS-CDR1 are compact single-rack units. They are stereo audio recorders for installation setups at larger spaces such as music halls, fitness studios, and conference halls. SS-R1 has a vibration-resistant structure without a mechanical section, thanks to the solid-state Comp...

TEWS TECHNOLOGIES today announced the TPMC310, a conduction cooled PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) CAN solution that provides two complete CAN bus interfaces using Philips SJA100 CAN controllers. The TPMC310 is ruggedized for harsh environmental conditions including COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf), industrial, and transportation applications.

The CAN bus I/O interface provides two independent channels, isolated from system logic and from each other. Each channel supports CAN specification 2.0B, and has the capability to transmit, receive and perform message filtering on extended and standard messages.

CAN High Speed transceivers are used for the CAN bus I/O interface. The I/O line configuration is configured by on-board solder pads for maximum reliability in a high-vibration en...
