ACROSSER Technology proudly presents the AR-B5230, EPIC single board computer which provides good performance for you to utilize on many fields in Embedded systems, Transportation, Panel PC, or Digital Signage.

The most important feature of the EPIC board is that all the locations of the connectors are specified, which means it is a standard form factor. You can easily upgrade the board if you have further performance requirements in the future, or you can connect a PCI-104 expansion card without any concern since the location and mounting holes are fixed.

AR-B5230 is also a small form factor board but with multiple connectors on the board edge. This may help to reduce the cable routing resulting in a smaller system. You can easily integrate the board in your system.<...

Leading lab-on-a-chip company Dolomite will be exhibiting a range of new microfluidic devices at Lab Automation 2008 in the US. Lab Automation 2008 is a major worldwide laboratory technology event and will be held at Palm Springs on the 27th, 28th and 29th January.

Lab-on-a-chip is an emerging technology based on microfluidics and MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems). This exciting new field of science and engineering enables very small-scale fluid control and analysis, allowing instrument manufacturers to develop smaller, more cost-effective and more powerful systems. With lab-on-a-chip technology, entire complex chemical management and analysis systems are created in a microfluidic chip and interfaced with, for example, electronic and optical detection systems.

Elma Electronic Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic packaging products, has announced a 2nd Generation AdvancedTCA (ATCA) handle that does not require assembly. The one-piece handle simply has two screws to attach it to the panel/PCB.

Most ATCA handles in the industry have several small components that need to be assembled, which can be tricky and time-consuming. The Elma ATCA handles are one piece, greatly reducing assembly time, which can be a hidden cost. Assembly time is one of the biggest complaints of ATCA board vendors who use various vendors' handles. Further, the handle's alignment pin is also part of the handle mold, which makes it much more sturdy and increases drop-test survivability.

The Elma ATCA handle is engaged/disengaged with a unique ...
